A Socialite for a Night

First casino play, first clubbing, first Smirnoff taste, first guy that wanted to know me, and first hang-over; all happened in one night in my 19 years of existence.
An aunt cousin of mine who is of the same age as my eldest sister invited as to ate dinner with her in Waterfront Hotel Lahug Cebu City at Port Seafood Restaurant. Well, she's a Fil-Am but both her parents are Filipino and they live in America. Anyway, after the dinner, we went to the Filipino Casino of Waterfront and it was my first time to be there and play a slot machine. It's very enjoyable to play and I even matched four pictures twice! Amazing! Then after that we went to Loft. It's a bar where club music is played and alcoholic drinks are served. Well, it's where the elites come and dance to kill time. And there, I finished two bottles of Smirnoff Black Ice Vodka, not to mention that it was my first to drink those. There were a lot of good looking guys especially the one that looks like Shirota Yuu. Moreover, my sister suddenly said that a guy wanted to know my name. So, I said ok. The guy introduced himself as John. I can't believe someone would notice my beauty! Lol! Anyway, that was it, we just introduce ourselves and shook hands then after sometime, he went home earlier than us. Together with my eldest sister, brother and his girlfriend, we ate sisig, drunk, and dance all we want. It was already 2am when we went home and as I got up in the morning, I had my first hang-over. Well, I'll never forget this experience. ~_^

The Fun and Success of Otaku Fest '08

Last February 9, 2008, the first Otaku Fest was held in UP Cebu. The events were cosplay, dota tourneys, original character design, anime film showing, and j-rock/j-pop cover bands. All I can remember about the event was that it was full of fun. I can't believe I'm seeing a lot of cosplayers, costrippers, and otakus in Cebu. The cosplay, headed by me, was really the highlight of the event. It was really a tough job but still I enjoyed it eventhough I was having difficulties and mistakes.  Being one of the organizers of the first ever Otaku Fest makes me feel proud and it proved that truly I am an Otaku. We are very sorry for some inconveniences but we assure you that we will improve.
To all who joined and attended the event, thank you very much. Hontou ni arigato gozaimashita! The event won't be a success without you people. To the sponsors: EA Games, PC Express, and Infinity Colors, thank you very much!
Currently we are planning for the next Otaku Fest which will be labeled Otaku Fest 2.0 to be held on December. To all Otakus, be prepared! 'Till the next Otaku Fest! ~_^

I Saw Him Today!!!

I can't believe that after eight years of not seeing him, I unexpectedly saw him today. It seems I've been given signs. First, I recently found his friendster and saw his photos and damn, he's still cute. I don't know if he still remembers me but at least he may be familiar with my face. The second is today when I rode a jeep this morning and yes, he's way better to look at in person. Too close but yet too far. Too close to pat him in the shoulders yet too far to reach him. Anyway, I was trying to reminisce my early elementary years when we were classmates. One of my unforgettable moments was when we had this newspaper dance (I assume you know the rules of this game) in our Christmas Party and it was boy-girl partners. I was really amazed when he asked me to be his partner and of course, I accepted. And we were very lucky to win the game! The prizes were coin banks and unfortunately, I already lost mine. Maybe his is still with him, just an assumption.
I've been somehow thinking of him from time to time and realizing that I don't know him much. But as my sister says, if one person is thinking of another person, that another person is also thinking of the one person. How I wish that's true.

CMSC 131 and HALE

I took my last exam in CMSC 131 and it was goddamn difficult. I was really frustrated... My partial grade was too low... Anyway, my frustrations took me to SM and window shop a little bit. There, I came across with Joyce and Veron... They're really getting stronger...how nice... We talked and visited the exhibit in the art gallery. After that, I bid farewell to them... Then on my way out, I noticed that people where waiting for a live performance of a band. I heard some chatter that it's HALE so I waited also and luckily, I had a nice view in the second floor. And there, I saw HALE performing their songs like "the day you said goodnight", "shooting star", "kahit pa", and many more. But I was a little disappointed because they did not perform my fave "broken sonnet". And Champ is really cute. Anyway, that's what happened to me today. Still frustrated and sad...

Things That Pissed Me Off...

1. Subjects that I can't understand...(i.e. CMSC 13...)
2. Failing grades... (hope I don't have)
3. People who demands a lot of time... (fortunately, it's over)
4. Boastful and Over-acting people... (I judge by myself)
5. Lastly, the cat who ate my Lechon Manok!!!

Mag Bisiklita Ta!

By: Chrisma Joyce P. Endrina

Nakakat-on jud ko…

CompSci Torrents Cheerdance won 3rd Place ~ a very fullfilling feeling

Weee....we won third place in the Cheerdance Competition of UP Intramurals 2007 beating Soc Sci and Management Divisions!!! It's been a while since I last joined a cheerdance and I thought to myself, well this maybe was or "is" one of  my passions... It's just a wonderful feeling winning a place without having to spend a lot for choreographers and props... I bet if we had enough practice, we have won but still, I never disliked our winning place. Even if I slipped and nearly "fell" at my last lifting position, I still managed to hang to my lifter...All the hard work and pain are all worth it... It's so nice to feel this experience again and again... Congratulations to all of us CompSci Silver Torents Cheering Squad!!! I'm very proud to all of us... Thank you very much for doing the best...Thank you to our very own choreographers Judy and Carme for taking the efforts to make our cheerdance a successful one. Thank you to all the CompSci peeps who supported us all the way...esp. to Mr. Lao. And lastly, thank you very much to God for guiding and blessing our cheerdance... I will always remember this day of victory... and good luck and God bless to the players for the sports events including me....waaaaa....

ComSci Torrents? WTF!

I can't believe that our name for our team in Intrams would be "Torrents"...  I'd rather choose Technocrats than Torrents. Why?  Because Technocrats are individuals with technical training and occupations who perceive important societal problems as technological in nature, while proposing technology-focused solutions to its problems. Technocrats pertain to people while Torrent is a software. Torrents with an "s" would be pertaining to what? A bunch of Torrent softwares? Or maybe Torrents signifies Torrent files. Do you consider yourselves a Torrent software or a Torrent file? I can't quite get the idea why Torrent sounds cool or what... For me, it's sounds really lame and piracy promoting. And another thing, not all people know what Torrent is. For the sake of those who don't know what Torrent is, it is a computer program for uploading and downloading files. Technocrats may not be also known but it's quite clear that it is related to Computer Science. And as what Dr. Robert Roxas, Division Chairman of Computer Science Department of UP-Cebu, Torrent was made by Technocrats and the word Technocrats can be a long-lasting word and I bet there would be another software that would outwit Torrent and will gradually face-out the software.
I do use Torrent but I don't want it to be the name of the our department... No offense to the people who voted for Torrents but Torrents just sounds very inappropriate for a department name. I hope that this name would be change next year...

At Last, I'm Happy...

When I went home yesterday, I got caught up with the rain...and it was really unexpected to rain. It's something like a twist or... "change" maybe the appropriate word. Anyway, in relation to what I have to share, I recently felt very much relief...It's like there was a very huge thorn in my heart that has been successfully pulled out. Thinking of the awful events that happened to me that gave me the big thorn, I now can't even remember them. It seemed they never happened. I'm really happy that I sorted things out because I actually don't want to live in resentment. I'm truly thankful for the opportunity that came to me and the decision I made to grab that chance...At last, I'm happy and I hope this continues...That's all I can say for now...~_^

The Not-So-Good Summer

Konnichiwa dear friends! Now summer is coming to an end, let me share to you my summer experiences this 2007. First of all, I haven't gone to any beach! Well, I do hope that before May comes to an end, I can go to the beach... What I do everyday is wake up around 8am...take my breakfast then turn on the computer...I watch anime online as many good titles I can see...or I download Naruto Shippuuden episodes and shoujo mangas. By the way, I also watch Bleach, Death Note, Romeo X Juliet and Lovely Complex every week...I finish watching titles like Ouran High School Host Club, Chobits, Code Geass, GTO Live Action, Howl's Moving Castle and others that I forgot...I only stop when I eat and sleep or watch tv. It seems my summer is ok right? But this isn't what made my summer "not-so-good". It's because of my unfinished business in my school...Can't mention it in detail but it's related to my studies...This made me so much worried this summer that it's like a thorn that can't be unattached. Someone get this thorn out of me!!! Anyway, everything will come out ok...Can't take this pain anymore...T_T
And oh, by the way, I'm very much happy about  the +Anime Addicted+ group I joined last year...This group kept me busy sometimes and broaden my knowledge on anime and we just celebrated our 1st anniversary...more power to our group! To all the members and my close friends there, ganbarimasu shoshite kiostsukete!~_^
